This is not a fancy place, but everything was satisfactory and both people at the front desk were kind and helpful. The man who checked me in stopped by room before closing the office to make sure that I was able to use the wireless Internet. When I got home, I realized I had left an important piece of equipment in the room. Dawn had already tried to find my phone number online before I called her! I sent Fedex to pick it up from her that day and received it the following morning. Thanks, Dawn! I got a discount on breakfast at a nice diner two doors down.

I've stayed many places over the years and I'm careful to judge. I slept well, the room was clean, the shower stayed hot and cranked out pressure. I felt safe and secure. I have stayed at other places in this town and can't say the same. The refrigerator/freezer is a money saver. Plenty of parking, big and open. Access direct to main street. The Sands is located in the middle of town so you can easily walk to the park (like for the Art in the Park festival) or to the famous "Coffee Cup". "Dawn" was wonderful. Boulder city great little town and the Sands gets my vote.

I have stayed here for years and most of the time got the same room.. Clean and rustic and walking distance to all the restaruants, Price per room most of the time is around $55.00!
