My husband & I Were coming through from the grand canyon and did not want to stay in Las Vegas. Stopped in at the Sands and got a great king room for a great price of 59.00. The staff was so helpfull, laundry on the property and discounts at eatries on each side. It was a short walk to a delifgtful downtown. This peoperty is super clean and comfortable. I would recommend it highly!!

We stayed here after we left Vegas and wanted to see Hoover Dam on the way to Grand Canyon. We should have known that there might be problems when a gentleman game to the front desk doing up his trousers. We were given the advertised rate which wasmcheaper than others in the area, but didn't we pay for taking the deal! The complementary breakfast advertised for the rate was not mentioned to us in booking, but having slept in the room, I would not have eaten it anyway. My husband and I can generally mix in with any surroundings but our room in this one storey motel was awful. The mattress protector, which was visible was ripped and the carpet very dark, clearly so you count see the marks. There was a very old and rusted AC machine in the room and a bathroom window which was, again rusted and about to fall out. Other reviews on here say this room was clean. It was anything but. So dusty and tatty. To top it all off in the morning a cockroach crawled out from my husband's trousers which he had put in the floor over night. We were disgusted. We trapped it under a bin for the owner to see and I went to tell them about the problem that we had encountered. Instead of being sympathetic the lady owner said that she was aware that there were cockroaches and that there was nothing that she could do about it. Sometimes she told me that they out chlorine down the toilet to try and stop the problem. The least I would have expected was some sort of warning about this before sharing my room with them. I use trip advisor a lot for planning trips but was so appalled by this hotel that I have signed up to write a review. Disgusting.

I really enjoyed my stay at the sands motel. The staff is awesome.

it was awsome. the rooms are very small but the people there are really nice. you are by a 711 and some dinners. you can walk to all the dinners and the 711. they can tell you where you can get differnt things. they have a washer and dryer there where you can do you clothes. the Southwest dinner is very good. they have awsome food and it is right by the motel
