“The height of graciousness.....”

This was a second trip to Boulder City (which is a charming town, by the way) as respite from a Las Vegas trip. I had looked into staying at Milo's last year but something put me off. After talking to Eric however, I was willing to give it a go. I'd have never found the B&B entrance without help but there was plenty of help at Milo's Bistro downstairs from the inn. It's a casual place but everyone we encountered was beyond friendly and helpful. We didn't make it down for breakfast until the last minute and were accommodated with a smile. We felt we missed nothing. A special request for a big-screen TV for a play-off football game was treated like no problem whatsoever. The room was comfortable and romantic and the only slight problem was quite a bit of noise early one morning. But we got so tickled about it that it turned out to be fun. Be sure and eat at the Bistro too. The food is marvelous. We hope to return here next year.

Just wanted to say thank you to you and Karen for the incredible
service you provided our guests during their stay this past weekend. I heard nothing but rave reviews about their rooms, the food and the
service...wow...were they impressed by the service.

“Nice, but disappointed in no breakfast at a bed and breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2010

We live in Las Vegas and had been so stressed out and overworked that we needed a relaxing getaway. We'd been to other bed and breakfasts and felt completely spoiled, which was just what we needed. Bed and breakfasts offer the opportunity for a delicious breakfast and conversation with other guests, so I thought a bed and breakfast would be a perfect weekend getaway. Since we love the food, wine, and atmosphere at Milo's Cellar, Milo's Inn at Boulder seemed like the perfect bed and breakfast.

I honestly have to say that I was extremely disappointed to arrive and learn that their kitchen was down because they were building a new bakery. This meant there would be no breakfast served. My heart fell because I'd planned this very special getaway to treat my significant other. I'd chosen a bed and breakfast expressly because of the feel of being spoiled by having breakfast served. My best memory of a bed and breakfast is the delicious breakfast and conversation with other guests. The owner was very kind and offered to buy our breakfast at a neighboring restaurant, but it just did nothing to ease my disappointment since the breakfast aspect was why I'd chosen a bed and breakfast over a hotel with a hot tub or other luxuries.

Other than that, the place was beautiful. The room was very cozy and romantic. I'd ordered a bottle of wine and two glasses to be there upon our arrival. It wasn't set up when we got there, but the owner delivered it right away and was very pleasant and talkative. There is a pond in the courtyard with gorgeous koi fish and two turtles to enjoy. Just a beautiful setting. Also in the courtyard is a BBQ grill, a refrigerator, and a lovely fire pit. There are tables set up outside to sit and enjoy a glass of wine.

I would recommend this place, but I'd be certain to inquire as to whether they actually serve breakfast at the bed and breakfast.

Beware of coupons-would not accept our entertainment 2010 book coupon-which was not cool! Food was good, service a little slow, but atmosphere pretty neat.

“Milo's Inn - the anti-Las Vegas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2009

We spent 3 nights in mid-November at Milo's in Boulder City. The purpose of the trip to to attend a wedding in Las Vegas but we wanted a little more peace and quiet than the Strip. Milo's is the perfect getaway. First of all, Boulder City itself is a pleasant diversion from the hustle and bustle 20 miles to the west. The town is quiet and reminded us more of a southern California town... green and palm trees. Milo's is above Milo's Wine Bar and has an entrance out the back for privacy. The rooms were very nice and very private.

Steve is a great host and, yes, his breakfasts are first class. He was very helpful in learning the history of the town and also his insight into the entertainment industry in Vegas was amazing. The only mild rub is that some of the staff of the wine bar were not clued into the operation of the B&B side of the business but we really didn't mind. Steve's hospitality made up for a couple rough edges.

Boulder City has plenty of small shops and restaurants to explore and we enjoyed a great service Sunday morning at Grace Community Church just a few blocks away.

We'd definitely return to Milo's next time we are in the area.
