We live in Las Vegas and had been so stressed out and overworked that we needed a relaxing getaway. We'd been to other bed and breakfasts and felt completely spoiled, which was just what we needed. Bed and breakfasts offer the opportunity for a delicious breakfast and conversation with other guests, so I thought a bed and breakfast would be a perfect weekend getaway. Since we love the food, wine, and atmosphere at Milo's Cellar, Milo's Inn at Boulder seemed like the perfect bed and breakfast.
I honestly have to say that I was extremely disappointed to arrive and learn that their kitchen was down because they were building a new bakery. This meant there would be no breakfast served. My heart fell because I'd planned this very special getaway to treat my significant other. I'd chosen a bed and breakfast expressly because of the feel of being spoiled by having breakfast served. My best memory of a bed and breakfast is the delicious breakfast and conversation with other guests. The owner was very kind and offered to buy our breakfast at a neighboring restaurant, but it just did nothing to ease my disappointment since the breakfast aspect was why I'd chosen a bed and breakfast over a hotel with a hot tub or other luxuries.
Other than that, the place was beautiful. The room was very cozy and romantic. I'd ordered a bottle of wine and two glasses to be there upon our arrival. It wasn't set up when we got there, but the owner delivered it right away and was very pleasant and talkative. There is a pond in the courtyard with gorgeous koi fish and two turtles to enjoy. Just a beautiful setting. Also in the courtyard is a BBQ grill, a refrigerator, and a lovely fire pit. There are tables set up outside to sit and enjoy a glass of wine.
I would recommend this place, but I'd be certain to inquire as to whether they actually serve breakfast at the bed and breakfast.
