This was my first venture into the realm of Provencal B&B's and my stay at Pierre de Lune set a very high standard for my future expectations as far as bed and breakfast's go. Not only were the hosts delightful, providing us with a particularly diverse, fresh and scrumptious smorgasbord of breakfast foods accompanied by helpful tips, maps, and healthy conversation, but they offered us a beautiful and secluded room which was perfectly clean and quaint and which had a gorgeous view of Provence's famous colourful, rolling hills, the sunset, and the moonrise.
The surrounding area is ripe for avid runners/walkers and there are many delicious stops in the immediate backroads where homemade chevre and honey can be purchased. We had full access to Katja and Martin's kitchen, also, which gave us the opportunity to sample some local fare and products, such as spring artichokes, which are to die for! They also have a beautiful (heated) pool.
Pierre de lune, translated into "moonstone" in memory of a family member of the hosts, is truly a gem of a place and comes highly recommended from a self-professed "picky" guest. I would return in a heartbeat.
