“Best indoor pool and hotel coffee in any extended stay hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

The pool invites the lap swimmer with a perfect temp and adequate length to get a good workout. Fabulous hot-tub, too! Both are clean and well-maintained and open at 5 am. Decent exercise room, too. On top of all this, the best breakfast buffet coffee that I've tasted anywhere, if you like it strong, that is.

The suites meet most every of my requirements that define a great extended stay: windows that open, thermostat controlled heat, separate bedroom, adequate kitchen and 2 decent LCD TVs without having to see/listen to a hotel pay-challel promo every time you turn on the TV.

Breakfast (7 days/weel) and dinner (Mon-Thurs) are a-ok, but the wine and beer is comped, so hey: what's to complain about?

Room Tip: Less traffic on the 3rd floor

“Nice place would stay there again!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

I recently spent an over 30 day stay at this hotel, it is advertised as a Extended stay hotel. My room was one of the renovated ones so I had a full kitchen. Had an incident with the toilet which took them most of the day a Saturday to fix, that can happen anywhere. Most of the staff was great. Just a situation on departure with the Front Desk Person, whom I could have strangled, but a Lady from housekeeping saved the day and I made it to the airport. If it is winter they are very good at keeping the areas cleared of snow. The complementary meals were very good and nice to have in the afternoon to meet with other people. All in all I do recommend it. DO TAKE your own Internet "stuff" theirs is really bad", oh! and your own Shampoo. They have a pool and exercise room, but just walking inside the hotel is a work out as it is rather large.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms facing the outside, they are larger

“Okay, but not again”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011

The staff were okay but check-in took them 10 minutes to get to the desk which bugged me. I was told the internet connection was "good," obviously not the case here. When I booked our rooms I was told that two of the book rooms have been taken already, don't they pay attention to who books rooms? I needed four rooms so two people were going to have to share a one-bed room! The room I had was okay, the beds and bathrooms were clean. I liked the fireplace in the room because it's cold in Alaska! I checked a few times for better internet, so make sure you have a back up internet plan. I wouldn't stay here again, I'll pay a few extra dollars to have good internet.

“Nice place..... INTERNET STINKS”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011

While this hotel has a very nice staff and average rooms there is one major flaw….. The internet… I have grown tired of the promises from management that a new internet is on the way… You are better off with a 2400 baud modem…… Will not stay here again and that’s sad a hotel has to receive a poor rating because they are too cheap to pay for a decent internet connection……

Room Tip: Get a room with an oven!!!!

“Good Stay after Reservation Problems”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

Stayed here in June 2011 for 2 nights between our stays in the Kenai Peninsula and Denali National Park. Our family of 2 adults and 2 teen boys had booked a 2 bedroom suite (in January) and were told upon arrival that they were oversold. After debating the issue with the manager, they offered us 2 studio suites adjacent to each other (and 1000 bonus reward points) at the same price. After all was said and done, the boys were happy that they had their own place and Mom was happy that she didn’t have to watch Comedy Central 24/7.

Rooms were spacious and clean, with gas fireplaces (that we didn't use in July) and flat panel TV's. Full kitchen and refrigerator (though we didn't cook) and dual sinks separate from bathroom. Wi-fi worked OK, after a call to the helpdesk.

Used this as our base to the Matanuska Glacier (about 90 minutes drive.) Would stay again, though would recommend getting out of Anchorage to explore Alaska.

Room Tip: Call to confirm reservation before you arrive!
