Where to begin...
The room actually made me feel sick. Air quality was terribly. Dirty, stained carpets that looked 30 years old. Moldy, filthy window sills. No curtains so very hard to sleep in 20 hours daylight! No screen in the bedroom so couldn't open the window because of bugs. No sink-stoppers for kitchen or bathtub. Shower curtain was useless. Walls filthy. Floor dirty.

On the plus side, it was a very spacious living area. Separate bedroom was a nice feature however I couldn't feel comfortable to let my kids even sit on the floor or the couch. The staff seemed friendly enough but you actually had to pay in full upfront. No wonder - we would have left after the first night!! I had read the reviews before we left - but we had already booked and I was willing to give people a second chance. Never again! Believe me - it was terrible.

One night in this dump was more than enough. In over 40 years of traveling, this was the worst overnight experience that I have ever had. The room was filthy, the beds were old and worn, very uncomfortable, the furniture was very old and dirty, styles look to be somewhere out of the 50s, there were no towels in the room, no drinking cups or containers, the shower did not work, the light over the vanity did not even have a switch to turn it on. The office was closed when we arrived around 5:30 PM and when we called the number on the office door to get someone, we were routed to voicemail. It took research of other telephone numbers near the office to finally find someone to open the office. After inspecting the rooms, we had to go and find someone to get towels. The provided only hand towels, no washcloths or bath towels. Styrofoam cups were provided. The pictures available for review on the internet must be from some other facility. We booked two nights, one when arriving in Anchorage and one when returning to Anchorage after visiting Danali. The management of the hotel would not cancel our second nights reservation and further would not provide any assistance or made any attempt to apologize for the conditions of the facility. It took several telephone calls between the hotel and Orbitz before the reservations were cancelled. For travelers booking hotels on Cheaptickets, the hotel reservation provided to the hotel is referenced to Orbitz, however when calling Orbitz to cancel, Orbitz did not have a record of any reservation. The reservation was made by calling an 800 number found on the website. When calling the 800 number I was led to believe that I was in direct contact with the hotel. It turned out that I was actually making a reservation with Cheaptickets. I finally mentioned to an Orbitz rep that if the reservation was made on the internet it was made through Cheaptickets. Once they understood that, the rep was able to cancel the second night.

This place was absolutely the worst motel that we stayed at with over forty years of traveling around the world. We didn't believe the horrible reviews because we didn’t think any establishment could be that bad and remain that bad and stay in business. Wrong! We stayed one night and no more. It was an exercise from hell trying to cancel the second night. Don’t go there ever!

Pay the extra money for a better hotel...Some of the problems were: wiring hanging out of wall, dirty, dirty..missing sofa cushion, toliet seat was very wrong size, beds were horrible, carpet was filty, booked a price online but ended up paying 20.00 more per night because the hotel screwed up..could not move because we had 11 people in our party...all three rooms were awful..staff was unfriendly and never at the office, went to walmart and bought towels because wecould not get any clean ones...rooms not cleaned daily, DO NOT BRING ANY CHILDREN it would be bad for their health..Again I need to say RUN as far away as you can from this hotel or should I say slum dwelling...The ads online and in the magazines should be fined for promoting this slum hotel...We were far away from home and stuck in a very bad situation...I would love the management to respond to this opinion...
