“Nice place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

we stayed one night for a date night, the room was pretty nice but we found a drop of blood on one of the pillows. Had a couple drinks in the bar, which sadly smelled like bad fish :( The Key Lime Cocktail was delicious but the other drinks notsomuch, in fact we left a whiskey sour undrunk it was so bad. he hotel is close to the airport but nowhere near downtown so if you want to explore on foot this is not the place for you.

Stayed again but not by choice. Did a lowball offer for a better hotel and had more stars but somehow ended up hear again. Room furniture had stains and food stuck to the couch. Just nasty and wont be back.

“Stay Somewhere Else.”

After my companion booked a romantic fireplace suite- even checked out the photos online- we arrived to a 40 degree room. Fireplace? Yes, there was one but it hasn't worked in YEARS. The coffee table had horrible scratches on it. The heater was so loud and never would have heated our room unless we were there for a week. I couldn't take my parka off. We called down to get another room and it was one hassle after another. We went down to check out and they wanted to charge us for the room! It was uninhabitable at that temperature! FINALLY after three people behind the desk, we got our credit card credited and we left. Never again.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel!

“Save your $, go to holiday inn for more amenities!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

The parkIng area and lobby were nice, room size was nice also. That about covers it for the positive side of things. Our room did not have a working shower, or even a faucet for that matter, it was just a pipe coming out of the wall; they charge for Internet, something I have. Ever encountered in what is SUPPOSED to be a higher class lodging facility; and the staff at the front desk looked like bored irritated drones. Not a welcoming first impression at all. The whole second floor claims to be smoke free, yet our room smelled faintly of stale smoke... And the people a few doors down spent half the night hanging out of their window smoking. We come to anchorage twice a month and usually stay at holiday in but decided to try something new. Guess we learned our lesson there!
This hotel has no amenities other than room service and laundry. NOT WORTH ThE MONEY!

I am happy to read that you took advantage of our complimentary parking and found our guest rooms to be of nice size. We are non smoking hotel, however as you witnessed firsthand there are unfortunately individuals who will still smoke in the guestrooms. You shared that you come to Anchorage at least twice a month; I would love to have an opportunity to personally arrange your accommodations with us on your next visit. If you would please contact me directly at 907.266.2200 or via e-mail at jshanks@mill-usa.com, I would be happy to work with you.

“Good overnight before flying home”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

This was a fine hotel to spend a night before our flight the next morning. Nothing fancy, just good enough. The restaurant had an amazing menu and my reuben sandwich was to die for. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel.

Thank you so much for your review! We are currently trying out several new dishes on our menu and I am happy to read that you specifically pointed out your enjoyment of our menu! The Reuben happens to one my personal favorites as well! Our team members do their very best in making each and every guest feel welcome and at home, I will be sharing your kind words with the entire team.
We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!
