The worst experience in my life. I have never seen such a hotel... may be just in horror films. The beds were dirty and I didn't sleep a wink. Actually everything was dirty and run down. The best word to discribe this place is SCUZY! This is NOT a place for families... not even for singles. It was a total Nightmare!!

I made the huge mistake of not reading the reviews before staying here. I would have saved myself a lot of worry, even though I should have known from the moment I stepped in. There was a person very clearly on drugs sitting in the lobby, obviously with the permission of whoever was there. After getting to the room, there was graffiti all over the door. There was no deadbolt or other 2nd lock on the door (even though a sign indicated to tell the staff if there wasn't). The room was very small and crowded. There was no air, so it was very warm in the room, even with the window open (no screens). The bed looked ancient, the bathroom and sink dirty. The room smelled very strongly of smoke, even though it was supposedly non-smoking. After paying for the room, I began to doubt my safety. As a side note, when I asked where to park, the desk manager said that there were parking permits, but they were sold out. He said my rental SHOULD be ok across from the hotel, even with signs indicating it could be towed at certain times. I made sure to remove anything even remotely valuable from the car. I went to sleep, and everything seemed ok until I was abruptly woken up at 4 AM by a man screaming in the next room, apparently about an intruder. I finally fell asleep again, but left as early as I possibly could. I would never return to this "motel" again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. It wasn't even the cheapest option, at least not without a reservation. Stay at your own risk!

I was surprised after reading some negative reviews to find that the Inlet Hotel was a very comfortable place to stay and an excellent value. The hotel is older but in good condition and well maintained. It definitely has an older feel to it but the value of the cost of the room compared to the sterile environment of the standard hotels far overcomes any objections. The King Bed room I stayed in was spacious but had a smaller bathroom that was adequate. The inlet view room was nice but faces the busier if the two streets so you do hear the traffic but it was not too bad.

Do not, under any circumstances, stay in this place. We were staying for one night and there were no vacancies at the other hotel. There is prostitution, drug deals and drunken natives in and around the hotel. There are designated rooms for these activities with the full cooperation of the front desk clerks. We slept with a chair wedged under the doorknob as well as shoving the dresser against it. The APD should shut this place down as an innocent guest is going to be murdered there, no doubt about it. Gross, disgusting, scary, dirty, frightening, putrid, filthy...please, please don't stay there.
