Location is good. Staff excellent. Fun bartender. Nice breakfast. Rooms and elevators a bit dated. Great balcony, but unfortunately no furniture to enjoy the spectacular view of the sea and mountains.

We went on an Alaskan cruise and this hotel was included in our package. The hotel was a little dated but clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. What more could you ask for?

Three of us stayed in two rooms for one night as part of our Denali Park trip, and found the hotel to be friendly, comfortable, impeccably clean, and well located in downtown Anchorage. While the rooms are not modern and/or stylish, per se, they are clean and very comfortable. Great staff. Glacier Brewhouse is across the street (excellent), and Calati Coffee around the corner.

The furniture in guest rooms is worn (based on viewing 4 separate rooms) and draperies are dated. It seems clean enough. The lobby is better than the rooms, especially when the fireplace is burning. The helpful staff really are the only thing I'd recommend, other than the location. Overall, it's a nothing burger of a hotel, but if you're on a holland america cruise, this is where you'll stay on the land tour portion.
