“Nice but a little rushed and noisy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2011

We only stayed one night and arrived late. Didn't really get the full experience of the B&B. Only met Caroline when we checked in. But she left early that morning for a week leaving Craig in charge. They were doing a lot of remodeling on the house that morning which made it a little uncomfortable. The place was very clean. Noises did carry through house easily. The weird thing was Craig did mention at breakfast that he was waiting to get into our room because he had a group of 5 arriving that afternoon. A little odd.

Room Tip: Be prepared for B&B atomsphere, staying out late in Alaska is easy with so much daylight, a hote...

Thank you for the feedback. I apologize for the noise that was made during the time we were working to become more “green.” The project of making our B&B/home more energy efficient was completed more than two weeks ago.

We had an energy audit last fall and were given numerous items to work on to make the house more energy efficient. They included changing out several windows and all of the exterior doors. We hired a contractor who tried to work only when there were no guests in the building. They always came after 9:30 in the morning and left before 4:30 in the afternoon. I think they removed and replaced a door on the day you were here; however, they did come later in the morning.

Now all is back to quiet not only at night but also during the day after the daily cleaning is completed. I regret the noise you experienced.

“Wonderful Place Away From Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2011

We only stayed here one night in the 'Rose Suite' and it was great! The hosts were very welcoming and our accommodations were very nice. The suite is amply spaced for just the 2 of us and the bed was VERY comfortable! Breakfast was yummy and they gave us a bottle of wine on the way out! We'll definitely be staying here again!

“Tasteful and tasty”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2010

Located in a suburban area of Anchorage, but with a breathtakingly lovely wildflower garden in the back. Perhaps one of the most tastefully decorated B&B's we've ever stayed in. The Firewood Suite on the lower floor has a functioning kitchen and a Murphy bed for an additional sleeper..an economical place for a small family.

Breakfast was great and beautifully presented. However, the hosts are a bit uptight about shoes, locks, parking, and entrances. Don't expect jovial conversation at breakfast unless you provide it.

“Spacious, clean and a fantastic breakfast.”

The Valentines were welcoming and friendly. Our suite was vary spacious, clen and quiet. The breakfasts here were absolutely wonderful and much fancier than we expected.

“Enjoyable 2 night stay in Anchorage”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 March 2010

We stayed for nights at Camai B&B during the 1st week of March and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are nice and clean and Caroline had nice breakfasts for us on both of the days. One can also get a beautiful view of the backyard (and might also sight moose during the winter months) from the breakfast table. The B&B is located in a residential neighborhood and is easily accessible from the rest of the city. Finally, the B&B was definitely cheaper when compared to renting hotels of similar quality in the city. I will surely return to stay at Camai B&B if I am again visiting Anchorage in future.
