We stayed here for one night on our way out of Alaska - we actually got a last minute deal here and were very pleased with our choice (I usually do loads of research on places to stay) - this was a pleasant surprise find). The hosts were friendly & gracious without being intrusive. The place was tastefully decorated (scottish style). The room was a sufficient in size, and the large bed lovely and comfortable. You can borrow dvd's and there is a common area for tea/coffee/microwave/small fridge (rooms have coffee/tea too). The garden was lovely too and there is ample parking. The breakfast was lovely (although american style and quite sweet - you can order English, but we saw the note too late).
All in all we had a lovely stay here and would come back.

This is a beautiful, gracefully appointed home that is a far cry from the Alaska lodge experience. The hosts are kind, friendly, and nonobtrusive. The beds are great and the rooms are quiet. Breakfast here is amazing - not just abundant but beautifully cooked. We stayed here at the end of a trip through some rugged, remote territory. It was a great opportunity to get high quality sleep and high-end restaurant quality cooking before the long trip home!

This place is a bargain and a real find. The common areas are elegant although the upstairs sitting area is kind of 70's looking. The hostess is delightful and breakfast was wonderful, but no choices... You had to take what was served which was fine with us. Treats, popcorn, etc.were provided and it was a good experience overall. The host's reception was somewhat reserved and brief, but I'm some what gregarious so take that for what it's worth.

This is a beautifully furnished B & B located in the foothills of Anchorage. Cliff and Sheila provided excellent hospitality in a house that they have created reflecting their Scottish heritage. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfasts were exceptional.
