We were passing through Anchorage and stayed at Alaska's Natural Wonders B&B for one night. It is off a main highway tucked back off the road in an area with a lot of trees so it is nice and quiet. We were in the 'Majestic Mountains and Valleys' room which was the one room with its own entrance and that was a nice bonus. I liked the layout of the room; it was spacious and the extra day bed was back in a cubbyhole area which gave our son his own little space. The room decor is an attractive Alaskan theme. Since we were there during the 'midnight sun' time of the year the light did shine through around the entryway at night but we were able to sleep fine with a not quite dark room. The bedrooms are on the ground floor and the upstairs has the large kitchen, a big open living area and the deck. There are a lot of windows in those upper rooms which brings in a nice view of all the surrounding greenery. I wish we had been able to spend some time just relaxing in the living room or out on their deck as it was quite inviting. The owners were very nice and happy to give us suggestions on our trip itinerary. The breakfast was ample and there is a neat coffee/hot water machine and all sorts of flavored syrups for those who like flavored coffees. My son liked the fact that he got whipped cream on top of his hot chocolate. We would definitly stay here again.
