We stay at B&B's to interact with locals. We were left feeling very cold and not particularly appreciated or welcome as tourist/guests. We were not greeted in person at any time during our stay. A note was left welcoming us as no one was originally there when we arrived, and that was fine. Later when we went in a woman was on the phone talkig to someone about making reservations and she waved a hand at us,. We assumed that was the owner Pam Tesche (from previous e-mails.) However, we expected that later she would greet us, welcome us. It never happened! She never told us her name, or extended a hand to us, nor did she offer any info about Anchorage. She was rarely around. There was a young man there, the Chef, named Clovis. He was an excellent chef, and served breakfasts that were delicious and beautifully presented. Other than breakfast, he really did not interact with us either. When we asked questions of Clovis we were given monosyllabic answers, no further elaboration. To be totally fair I must say this B&B is in a wonderful neighborhood location, a short walk to downtown. It was clean and comfortable. Since we are travelers who expect more from a B&B, we will not be staying at G Street in the future.
