Great location close to the airport, only 4 miles from the centre of Anchorage and in a beautiful spot on Lake Hood.

Wonderful clean, good size and bright room. Stayed here at the start of our tirp and it was great coming back to this place again after a few night in Denali. Bill was a great host and would thoroughly recommend his lovely inn.

My spouse and I stayed in the Bravo room for two nights in August 2010. We are both aviators so the theme of the B&B and the room location were ideal. The view of the floatplane activity on the lake was excellent. The room was large, clean, comfortable and all furnishings were in excellent condition. The bathroom was very nice with a large and modern comfortable shower. The in-room refrigerator was handy and the bedside table (for two) was convenient. The convenience of the coin-operated washing machine and dryer on the same floor was greatly appreciated. The self serve breakfast was provided in an adequate communal kitchen on the same floor. During our two week stay in Alaska our other accommodations in downtown Anchorage, Denali and Kodiak Island were adequate. By comparison, the Lake Hood Inn was a superior selection and an enjoyable experience.

We stayed at the Lake Hood Inn on our first night in AK. What a great location and inn! It is on Lake Hood right near ANC, but the planes really didn't bother us. Bill, the owner, built the place, which is decked out in an aircraft motif. His floatplane in the water definitely tops off the experience. Bill is a great host and I would definitely stay here again!

This was probably our favorite lodging in Alaska. Unfortunately, we only stayed there for our last night in Alaska and caught an early morning flight. We will stay longer when we go back to Alaska.

There are only four rooms. Two rooms have views of Lake Hood and its many seaplanes, with the International Airport in the Background. It is a five minute drive to the airport.

All guests have access to upstairs decks for watching seaplanes come and go, but we did not use it because of the mosquitoes.

The Inn is clean and nicely decorated with aviator nic nacs. The rooms have small refrigerators and microwave ovents, and there is a large refrigerator for guests in the galley.
