Overall this hotel was ok. Rooms are spacious but one thing that bugged me was the fact that they have a nice flat screen tv and dvd player, however, these two are in the bedroom and not the living room. I did all my tv/movie watching in the living room area and not in the bedroom. Located in mid-town, you are within walking distance from the Sears Mall and wal-mart. A little noisy since the new seward highway is nearby.

Good hotel with studio room (kitchen + 2 double beds). Good value. Small swimming pool, exercise room, Free WiFi. Parking is small so we have to park in the adjacent property. Did not feel comfortable parking there because of neighborhood. Close to downtown.

We made reservations to stay here Sept. 09 for July 5th, 2010 for a king suite with a kitchenette. I called about two weeks out to make sure our reservation was in order and to make sure the hotel was aware we would be arriving on a late flight. "No problem, we have a notation to that effect and we will have your room ready when you arrive". When we arrived, about 10:30 PM on July 5th, we were told there were no rooms available. When we protested, the desk clerk said there were no king rooms available-they were all rented. She finally gave us another room. When we used our key and walked in, there was allready someone in the room!! We went back up to the desk-dragging four big suitcases and she gave us a queen room with a kitchenette "for the same price". The room was nasty. The bathroom was relatively clean except for the long black hairs. The kitchette was clean, but the refrigerator reeked of soured milk. The carpet was full of crumbs in the bedroom abd was stained and old. The room was almost bare of decoration-just a stark, bare room. There was a dirty hand towel under the edge of the bed. The couch smelled and was old and worn. The entire room reeked of former smokers though we were adamant about a non-smoking room. We protested loud and long to the lady who identified herself as the general manager the next morning. Her response was low-key and a laid back, "So, what's the problem? She didn't seem to grasp why we were upset-after all, they did find us a place to sleep. She did not even apologize that the room we reserved almost a year in advance was not available. Her response was, "We don't kick people out that are already here. This IS an EXTENDED stay hotel". She could have cared less.
I sent Orbitz an email and requested a refund. They asked me to call a toll free number to speak to an agent. I called Orbitz and they called the hotel to request a refund. The general manager said we never complained about the room we were given-and we did stay there, so as far as she was concerned, there was no refund due. What a liar! STAY AWAY from this roach infested place!

Room was clean, plenty of room. Service was okay, bed wasn't the most comfortable but if you aren't planning on staying in your room alot it's perfect for a visit to Anchorage! Walls aren't very soundproof, but we were only there during the night so it's pretty quiet. Lots of restaurants nearby within walking distance, but if you want to see downtown, plan on renting a car from the airport when you arrive. Plenty of parking available, easy check in/out. I would recommend this hotel for someone looking for a great deal on a longer stay - easy to get on and off the Glenn and Steward highways.
