Megahn was Awesome......we needed a handicap room for my mother in law and she came through.The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we had on our 10 day journey.Also Julia made our check in quick and delightful.Thanks for the Alaskan hospitality.

This hotel has been our hotel of choice every time our family travels to the "big city" now for the past couple of years. We have found it to be very clean inside and out with the rooms being very comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff has ALWAYS been friendly, respectful and accommodating. The breakfast area is well stocked and the food satisfying with plenty of choices. Looking forward to the next time we have the opportunity to visit!

My wife stays at Marriott properties often and we have traveled to Alaska many times. Hotels there are not as nice as the lower 48 and the staff tends to be less hospitable. We found the staff here to be very nice however the hotel was just okay. It was warm where we were there and the commons areas, elevators, and hallways were very hot. There is only one elevator and it is turtle slow. The rooms need an update. It is comparable to a Holiday Inn Express (with a little wear and tear) in the lower 48. I have stayed at some unsatisfactory places in Alaska and this place is fine but don't expect Marriott quality.

I was troubled to read about the A/C issue you experienced and also was disappointed to hear that you did not like the new Fairfield "Perspective" package which the hotel just upgraded to in 2013. I have never had to write a review before and should have read these before I stayed at this Hotel.
I stay in Hotels over 80 nights a year and always pick Marriott for the same high standard of service.
This Hotel management does not understand how to treat loyal Platinum customers potentially driving dedicated loyal customers away.
A franchise location that needs corporate help and FAST.

I frequently stay at Marriott properties. I expect nice rooms, nice people, cleanliness, and quality. The Fairfield lives up to that brand expectation. But, the outside walls must be made of paper. I can hear every vehicle, even a Prius, on the highway nearby. My room is in the center of the property facing the Crown Plaza next door. The Motel 6 is behind us and shares the parking lot. The highway runs in front of and along side. Fortunately, the HAVC fan drowns out most of the road noise until a big truck comes along. I chose this hotel because of the combination of rate, airport courtesy van and continental breakfast. It also has free WIFI. The van serves all three of these hotels and can take 30 min or more to arrive so call them when you get to baggage claim, not after your bags arrive if you don't want to wait. One more tip- walk down to the first boarding area outside the airport otherwise new arrivals are picked up there first and if you are at bag claim 6 Delta, the van is full by the time it gets to you.

Room tip: Maybe choose the far right end, as far away from the road as possible.

I do appreciate your tips and comments regarding our courtesy shuttle service and am sorry to hear the road noise and construction going on adjacent to the hotel was a detractor for your stay.
