I chose this hotel (because of the cost and distance to the International Airport) when I had a one-day layover in Anchorage. It was inexpensive and it has an airport shuttle that runs 24/7. I was certainly not 5 stars, but I didn't expect that it would be. It would be nice if the carpets were cleaner, but besides that, I was comfortable. (Maybe it seemed dirty because of the winter weather and everyone tracking in...) My sheets were high quality (a surprise!) and the bed was heavenly.
There is a laundry (that I needed to use) but only one washer was working. While I waited, a hotel employee came and got the other one working. I used it and it was fine. But, two washers and two dryers are not very many for a facility this large...
There was a free, attended, continental breakfast available. It was very basic - but McDonalds is next door and within a block, either direction, there are several good restaurants to choose from.
The hotel is right on the bus line. It was quick and easy to get downtown for business, banking and shopping!
The low cost might be a magnet for more questionable persons, as I was surprised to be required to post $100 damage deposit.
