We stayed three nights at Sundance while we explored Anchorage on our own for a few days prior to taking the train to Seward and getting on a cruise ship. Pauline, you are amazing! Thank you so much for making us feel so much at home. The place is very nice, with a wonderful deck overlooking the Cook Inlet. A bald eagle (they've named him Fred) hangs out in a dead tree outside, and can occasionally be coaxed to swoop in and give you photo opps! Our first morning their, a mother and baby moose wandered by the deck too. Very nice to have such cooperative wildlife! Pauline's breakfasts were fantastic - I have to say, we've never had bacon like the kind she served us and it was truly phenomenal. It was a true pleasure visiting with the other guests each morning and evening, and also a true pleasure visiting with Pauline who went out of her way to help us with internet research on things we wanted to do and learn about. If you are flying in from out of town, you will need to rent a car so you can get around - this is outside of town - but that's one of the reasons we liked it so much! And do note that the very last portion of the road leading up to their place is unpaved and bumpy, but hey, it's Alaska guys, just take it easy on the approach. We would absolutely stay here again, it couldn't have been nicer. We also enjoyed the outdoor hot tub one evening.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share the details of your visit! I'm glad you loved the bacon - we are serving locally raised pork, fresh eggs, and home made bread while it is available all summer and it all tastes delicious!

In other good news there is some progress being made towards smoothing out the last stretch of road leading up to the house - by months end the potholes will be non-existent!
I hope you are enjoying your fall weather as we are - leaves are turning yellow this week so winter is fast approaching...
It was very nice meeting you!
