There was no sign to tell us that this was the motel we had booked. You have to go across the street to register and sign out.
We asked for No Smoking, sign on the door said it was no smoking but it smelled bad!
There were ashes and cigarette butts behind the night stand, The sugar creamer holder was used as a ashtray. It was melted and full of ash. We only had 2 people but paid for 3. There were only 2 wash clothes. The bathroom was filthy floor was dirty not swept or cleaned. We brought them the thing that was used for a ashtray at checkout, told them again we only had 2 people. There was no adjustment to the bill.

This poor old hotel needs a complete makeover! The carpets are filthy, the bedding weary, the bathroom was chipped & terribly worn ... looked like something in an inner city tenement house. Icky! The 'free high-speed internet' is a joke! It's a weak, erratic signal from the Quality Inn across the street and unobtainable in most locations in the hotel. The desk clerk told me to go through a basement tunnel and sit in the Qual. Inn lobby to get a decent signal. Hah! Will not be staying there ever again.

While close to the airport, I would not stay at this Econo Lodge again. The rooms are old and musty smelling. The carpets are stained and while the room looks to be somewhat clean on the surface, I was worried about what might be creepy crawly around under the surface.

Our first night in Anchorage, we stayed at the Comfort Inn Ship Creek, but moved here when we returned from a 2 day stay in Denali. I wish we had just stayed at Comfort Inn again. It is a much better place than here. Better location, better rooms, better everything!

I booked a room at this dive to cover an eight hour layover in Anchorage. The lack of common sense on the part of the desk staff ate up most of the time.

I called the property as I was heading to baggage claim to pick up my bags. The front desk clerk insisted that I was already in house. She would not send the shuttle until I was standing outside in the 9 degree weather at the curb.

When I arrived at the hotel, this same clerk said that I had already checked in and that my credit card had already been charged. She wanted to give me the key to the room that I was already checked in to. I suggested that she check and see if anyone was already in the room. Sure enough, there was and he was none too happy at being woken up at 1:30AM.

After flapping her oars for a bit over the fact the our room was already occupied, I convinced her to check us into another room which she did. It had no heat.

I went to the front desk to complain about the lack of heat and had to wait while she dealt with the guy she woke up out of my room. We were assigned another room and IT HAD NO HEAT. A third room was the same. The fourth room had heat. Lots of it. Had to open the window to make it surviveable.

If you can get past the front desk , the rooms are clean and passable for a low end motel. I for one, will not be returning to this property for any reason.

A complaint to management went unanswered until I escalated the complaint to corporate.
