“Not Bad”

This is a fine little bed & breakfast, very spacious, friendly hosts and a great location. The price was very good but I would be willing to pay an extra 15-20 euro more per night so they could invest in new sheets and bedding, which appeared to be about 30 years old. Breakfast was included and consisted of fresh croissant, jam, butter, coffee and juice. It was good but I wouldn't say huge as another reviewer mentioned. Private parking was included which was very nice.

“A GEM in the heart of Sainte Mere Eglise!!!”

We were lucky enough to read about this B & B on TripAdvisor when looking for lodging in the Normandy area. I got a prompt email response to my inquiry and we arrived to friendly greetings and smiles. The hosts are helpful and friendly and the apartment we got was huge! We lucked out here. We stayed 3 nights and explored the D Day sites in Normandy as well as just relaxing on the beach one day at Omaha. Breakfast is simple continental and family style with other guests. On the mornings my children slept in, I was able to take our breakfast to our room. Having a fridge and cooktop was really convenient as it was nice to cook our own meals after dining in restaurants so many days. Free parking and free internet. I would highly recommend this to families and couples who want a friendly and clean place to stay with a warm welcome. The location can't be beat as it is in the heart of the village and right across the street from the church where John Steele got his parachute hung up on D Day. All in all, a true gem in Normandy at most reasonable prices.

“Right in the middle of history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2009

You just can't beat the location -- mere feet from the church square where the US Airborne came down on D-Day. Across the square is the Airborne Museum. A short car ride is Utah Beach and other D-Day sites.

The B&B is not ornate, and doesn't need to be. If you're looking to be waited on hand and foot, this is not the place. But, if you want simple, good rooms for a terrific price -- right in the middle of history -- this is the place.

Great time and great stay.

“D-Day Must Go See”

This hotel is owner/operated (very helpful and friendly)and is ideally situated on the Church Sq directly opposite the Airborne Museum-there is ample offroad parking for vehicles at the rear of the property. The rooms are basic but offer great value for money and the breakfast was huge(I would recommend their own home grown rhubarb preserve)-you can eat/drink/shop all within 50m but the noise levels are always low even on market days-was planning on staying 1 day but ended staying 3 days! Please note the don't accept plastic but there are ATM machines and Banks in the immediate area-this property gets my vote on friendliness/location and VFM
