Stayed at the Spinaker for 3 nights with my wife and daughter. The hotel has a michelin rated restaurant on its premises. The show is run by two brothers and their respective wives. From what I gather one brother is a top chef and runs the restaurant and the hotel is run by the other brother.
I would qualify this hotel as boutique. The rooms are all decorated on a different theme. They are not big but all have small gardens which in summer is great. The rooms are air -conditionned but again very simple. Its time to get a little renovation going since the bathrooms are getting tired.
In summer they open a grill in the garden next to the pool were
you can have a small lunch under the trees.A true delight.Everything was not perfect. Our reserved room had a hygiene issue which was quickly and efficiently sorted out by the staff,One of the breakfast jams had already been opened and consumed by a previous guest.Again well taken care of.
There is one thing that bothered me immensely. We took dinner at the top rated restaurent. We spent 200 euros and the chef did not bother saying hello nor goodbye. He spent his whole evening
entertaining his buddies and regular guests.Maybe he should
spend sometime in the kitchen.
If in town go to St. Laurent d'Aigouze and dine at LE GRIFFOU:
