My wife and I stayed at this bed and breakfast for 3 nights. While there is much positive I could say (location, cleanliness etc), it just seemed to be missing the something extra you expect from a bed and breakfast. We stayed in a room at the top of the B@B, and thought it was a charming room, but both my wife I kept commenting how it lacked intimacy. All the rooms were painted in one color, a cream color, and the interior decorator in us thought how much nicer the room would be with warmer colors. The bathroom had a nice tub, but again, it was painted all in the same color, with no pictures on the wall. Granted this was just one room, and perhaps the other rooms were decorated differently, but we just wanted a bit more. Breakfasts were average. Nothing that I could not make myself (scrambled eggs, sausage). Again, its not that we expect gourmet meals, but we do expect something more than what you can get at your better hotel continental breakfasts. The hostess was very nice to talk to, but I would not have preferred to see her walking around in the kitchen in her bare feet. The last day we decided not to eat breakfast, as we just were not that impressed, and unfortunately, that is half of the bed and breakfast experience. Also, it would have been nice to have a few things out in the afternoon, such as tea or cookies. Maybe they were there, but we were never told. Just the small things that we were missing.
The location was great, and we had some wonderful views. We just seemed to miss being spoiled, which is what we come to expect from a bed and breakfast...
