I booked a suite online, expecting from the description and photos on the site that the unit I was booking consisted of more than one room- bedroom and a living room.
(See Wikipedia entry on suites: "A suite in a hotel or other public accommodation, denotes a class of luxury accommodations, the key feature of which is multiple rooms.")
I was travelling with my young child, and I was hoping to be able to put him to bed early, while my wife and I stayed up later in the other room. When I arrived, I was dismayed to find out that the "suite" was a single room that had a couch with a tiny quarter-wall divider separating it from the beds. When I complained to the person at the desk, they explained that the King suites have a separate bedroom, but the Queen Suites do not, and that no King Suites were available during my stay. I feel this is very misleading, and am consequently not very happy about my experience.
Otherwise, the hotel was fine - a bit older, but comfortable, reasonably priced, good location for the zoo. The breakfast was nice to have, although the breakfast room is a bit cramped.
Room Tip: A Queen Suite is not actually suite

I am sorry to hear you were disappointed in your room and an upgrade was unavailable. As a mom I totally understand. We will make the appropreate adjustments on the choice website. We really appreciate that you took your time to write this review and hope you will try our King Suite next time you are in Seattle. I will be happy to match the rate you paid during your stay in the queen mini suite.
Thank you,
Andrea Strickland
