“Updated Marriott on the Water”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Stayed here for one night while staying in town for the weekend. Pretty good location. Short walk to the Pike's Place Market area. Great sunset views right on the water. I was upgraded to a corner room on fourth floor with an excellent view. Rooms have been nicely renovated.

Only downside is the lack of restaurants/bars close by. They do have the Hook & Plow on site, but it was dead. Ended up going back towards Pike's Place Market and grabbing a quick bite before hitting up Fox Sports Grill for the PPV UFC fight that night. Just be warned if you are walking back late at night, elevator shuts down at 11pm and there are some homeless people milling about.

Room Tip: Get a corner room with water view!

“Wow”

I stayed here for business but was surprised of how nice this hotel is. It is located across the street from the water. It looks like most rooms have views of the water. It is great seeing ferries come and go. It also is in a great location. Close to everything such as restaurants and Pike's Market. Starbucks is right across the driveway which is very convenient in the morning! The room was very comfortable and lives up to the Marriott standard. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I would easily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seattle.

Room Tip: Room with a water view and balcony.

“This is a great stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

I've stayed here for business several times and have enjoyed my stay each time. It's right on the water front, very close to the Pike's Market and many local restaurants. I recommend going to nearby restaurants before considering the one at the hotel. This is based solely on value and quality of preparation for the money. On the room front the rooms are quiet, wonderfully comfortable, especially the bed. No microwave or refrigerator. However they've recently installed a light timer (motion detector) for the bathroom which I support for ecological reasons. But the timer is short and you're left in the dark shortly after starting your shower (shake the curtain). Other than that the staff, rooms and amenities are flawless. If you're a Marriott gold member the concierge's room offers a hot breakfast as well as the usual cereals, pastries and fruit.
