We are a family of two adults and one child. We stayed at the Guest House bed and breakfast in Burien (south Seattle) for five nights prior to an Alaska cruise this past August and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Guest House B and B is just minutes from the airport and the light rail train station by car, taxi or bus, a twenty to thirty minute train ride into downtown Seattle, so we found it was an ideal place to enjoy some r. and r. after a day of exploring.
Lovingly tended gardens and a carefully maintained hot tub and deck provided a comforting balm to our weary feet and tour worn spirits.
The guest suite is quiet, private, and self contained. It has two bedrooms, each with its own beautifully coordinated colours, character and queen sized bed. There is a full bathroom, use of a fridge, microwave and coffee maker, a comfy sitting room with TV, VCR, radio and a collection of books and games.
We wakened every morning to the earthy, seductive aroma of freshly ground coffee and a gourmet breakfast where a simple white plate became the canvass for an
exquisitely presented piece of art; a symphony of colour and flavour.
Attention to detail began with starched and ironed bed sheets and immaculately clean living space and continued throughout our stay with fresh towels and bathrobes for the hot tub and cookies or cake left each evening for us to enjoy.
Tom and Linda were very respectful of our privacy yet incredibly helpful, providing much information about sites and transportation in the Seattle area prior to and during our stay.
The next time we go to Seattle, we know exactly where we will stay.
