We stayed at Bacon Mansion last summer. After viewing pictures of our trip last night, I had to write a review. The Mansion itself is lovely...and the breakfast room and downstairs sitting rooms quite elegant. It was great each morning to sit around a large table for a very healthy breakfast and be able to chat with people from all over the country. We enjoyed the patio and an upper porch. Both places were great for unwinding with a glass of wine following a long day of touring. We went for morning walks after breakfast...the neighborhood is worth exploring.
There is a park close by which has a great conservatory featuring many of the spectacular flowers which grow in the area and also a very nice Asian museum. We were also able to view "Shakespeare in the park" there...all a couple of blocks from the mansion. Broadway is also a couple of blocks away with a wide array of restaurants.
Besides all of this, Darryl is a great host, and the location is convenient to all of Seattle.
I would highly recommend Bacon Mansion for a very unique stay in Seattle!
