“Clean and comfy”

Wanting to spend our anniversary a few hours away from home, we got reservations at the Travelodge on Aurora. The handicap room had a nicely equipped bathroom with handrails in the tub and a safety rail attached to the toilet, plus a bonus shower bench that we don't normally find in high class hotels, let alone motels.

The sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable with a firm mattress. Per the usual for almost all motels and hotels, the bedding was sparse and the pillows were thin, but I have yet to stay at a place where it isn't. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast had limited hot items but was well stocked in quantity if not choice. The price was great, the location was perfect for our needs, I would stay here again.

However, if loud noises bother you, this motel is on a major bus route with a bus stop a few feet away and the buses run all night, so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

“Not in the best area and spartan”

We were visiting our son in Shoreline and decided to stay here. This is not in the better area of Seattle for a start. The hotel is old and need of updating. The queen size bed was hard and the room was spartan. You will be given one towel, washcloth and hand towel each. The front desk personnel were not exactly friendly and could care less about whether you stay or not. The good news about this place is that there is a Jack in the Box right next door if you like that sort of place. Other than that count on driving somewhere for food and drink. We are leaving to tour parts of eashern Washington and will not be returning to this hotel. I recommend you avoid this place and find something in a better area.

“It was okay, the location was great.”

I stayed two nights at the Travelodge, the location and price were great. It is only like 8 miles from Downtown and the price is half of what you would pay for hotels in downtown. And there are small Korean town near and I enjoyed my all you can eat Korean b-b-q for $14.99. The downside is, the lady who was at the office was rude, didn't even say hi and ignored me until I started conversation. The breakfast was okay, there were juices, cheap pastries, but what do you expect? they were edible for the price I paid for, I don't want to complain.

“Clean, comfortable, and very reasonably priced.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2011

Stayed here for 3 nights in mid June.

Paid a very fair price, about $50 per night. Room was clean, relatively quiet, and bed was adequate. Came with a free continental breakfast, and the lady that was working in the office was quite helpful and friendly. Location has it's pros and cons, it is close to Green Lake which is an area I like, but area around the hotel itself isn't the prettiest to look at. I-5 is relatively easy to get to though.

It's a budget motel, so keep that in mind, but I'd have no problem staying here again.
