“Dated but not horrible”

The location downtown is very ideal. Very close to just about everything which is great! The room and lobby are a bit dated. I thought the parking was very high for the weekend. If you are looking for a clean room that is central and you are not driving...totally reccomend this hotel. The room itslef was very reasonable. I found the bed to be comfortable and again...you cannot beat the location!!

“Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

The decor was pretty nice. The bed was really comfortable, it was nice & soft and cushy. Everything was very clean. The staff people we very friendly. The only downside was the heating system which we had to have turned on since it was January in Seattle and very cold. The heater basically sounded like there were a bunch of very loud fans on. Other than that it was a nice place to stay and it is close to a lot of fun places to go and restaurants to eat at.

“central but a bit tired”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

i stayed at the Roosevelt for three days on a weekend getaway. the hotel was centrally located in the downtown core, but i found the hotel lacking i a couple of ways. the elevators seemed to be very slow and usually one was either down or occupied with hotel staff duties. you could find yourself waiting for quite a while to find room on one. they were packed with people. perhaps this was an unusual occurance, but it surely slowed everything down. the room was very dated. the bed was comfortable, but the set up was odd and felt strange. the bathroom was very small and the fixtures were from the 40's or 50's. it was clean but spartan. the staff seemed pleasant enough but it always seemed like there were not enough people on the desk. my parents stayed in this hotel on their honeymoon and i am sure that the room has not changed too much from those days in the 40's.
the train and hotel package that i got was ok, but if i return to seattle...i will not be staying at the roosevelt.

Room Tip: check to make sure their elevators are working and if they aren't, it may be an idea to get a ro...

“Roosevelt Seattle”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

What a nice place, Room was spotless, everything looked and smelled clean. Staff was pleasant and eager to help. Price was great for a downtown hotel, even got free valet parking when we booked online through "bookit.com". Location was great for dinning, shopping or other entertainment. Would easily recommend to others.

Room Tip: We had a basic room and was alittle small but very comfortable. Nice bathtub.

“Excellent anniversary!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

This previous weekend my husband and I stayed at the Roosevelt Hotel In Seattle. We have traveled extensively throughout the world and thought you might be interested in our observations.
We arrived Saturday Morning while a heavy wind and light rain made the area not so scenic nor enjoyable. The valet rushed into the rain to facilitate our baggage and park the car. He was extremely friendly and wanting to be of assistance. We could barely get into the lobby and the Concierge immediately made us feel comfortable with small talk as we were waiting inline to be checked in.
At the Front Desk Peter Schmidt handled the many questions of incoming guests with humor and expertise. When it came to our turn I explained we were there for a wedding anniversary and he suggested a Jacuzzi room on 15th floor.
We arrived at room 1508 and it was all as he had described. The views to Elliot Bay from the West window, Space Needle from the North were spectacular.
The bed was made as to appear comfortable for arrivals and the Jacuzzi and bathrooms were adequately staffed with supplies. The room was immaculate clean, as if more of a model Hotel room rather then one in use.
How to grade Excellence? Next trip to Seattle we will be staying at the Roosevelt!
