This is the ONLY hotel in downtown Seattle that is right on the water (literally).
It is a rustic, yet modern hotel. The rooms are very rustic with fireplaces and log beds. But I appreciated that the bathroom was updated modern touches. The carpet in our room could be updated though.
I reserved a room with a water view and we also had a balcony, which is worth EVERY PENNEY!!! We had breakfast (room service) one morning on it, enjoying the Amazing view and it was a beautiful sunny day. Make sure to request a room away from the pier, because when a cruise ship is in, that will be your view, and your privacy is reduced.
We ate twice at Six Seven, which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! It is a beautiful restaurant right on the water. I loved the modern decor with a touch of rustic. Brilliant!
We had dinner one night, and brunch on Sunday. Everything we had was outstanding!
Lobster mac and cheese, grilled blue marlin, king crab risotto, rosemary pana cotta, triple chocolate mousse, apple pancakes, crab fritatta, etc. My mouth is watering thinking about how flavorful the food is!
The hotel has a free van shuttle service to take you to wherever you want to go in downtown Seattle, which is a nice service.
The price we paid for our waterside room was worth every Penney, but I could not see myself spending that kind of money with a view of the parking lot and train.
I will stay at the Edgewater again the next time I am in Seattle! Perhaps a suite with a balcony though.
Room Tip: Book a waterside room, away from the pier. When a cruise ship is in, it becomes your view.
