The hotel is perfect for a one night stop over, although our room was located in the 4th floor, with elevator, an with a plastic shower plate, too small to be 2 people in the bathroom at the same time.

My boyfriend and I stayed here and weren't expecting much but were shown to a very big clean room. The bed was comprised of two single ones pushed together but you couldn't really tell because there was a sheet and duvet over both and it was very comfortable. We had a lovely view over Morlaix but as it rained for the 3 days that we were there, we spent a lot of time in the room relaxing. It was clean, cosy and had a lovely big bathroom with a bath. There was a television and free wifi. Nothing extravagant just simple, clean and cosy. One thing we definitely wouldn't reccommend though is the adjoining restaurant downstairs, venture further afield for nice restaurants in the area.

This hotel is very difficult to judge. Others have remarked on the imposing staircase and there are other bits of grandeur from and earlier age such as radiators with raised foliage patterns and plaster mouldings in the ceiling in our room, and a “bar” in the breakfast room. This sits oddly with the very modern tables and chairs in the breakfast room – they would be fine in a modern hotel but are out of place here. The furniture in our room included some that was old and/or quality, but some that was neither. The orange curtains seemed out of place, and were somewhat dominant as they covered 5 sets of double “French windows”. In the bathroom there were two basins, but these were set in what appeared to be a cheap “formica” or similar stand.
What you make of the above is a question of taste. But what is totally factual is that our “superor” (stet) double room was massive – it was two rooms knocked together either of which by itself was large. As well as a large bathroom, there was a separate toilet in a small wash-basin less “broom cupboard”. It would have been better to put the toilet in the bathroom (there was plenty of room) and release the cupboard for case storage or whatever.
Breakfast was about what you would expect for the price.
This hotel may once have been excellent, and could be again with a significant investment of money and imagination by someone with taste.
Parking in Morlaix is a problem. Others might find it useful to know that there is a free unlimited time car park 5 to 10 minutes walk from the hotel in Place du Pouliet – take the road SE towards Plougonven from the corner of the hotel, turn left at the first roundabout, and the car park is almost immediately on the right.

We were given a back room t on the second floor that was so awful its defies descption , when we asked for another, madame said we must wait .Later when we returned after milling around the food market we were given a corner room with a very comfy bed large and bathroom . The views were delightful , and it is right in the center of the town. I have stayed here before as it a good central place . I think the staff could be be more welcoming and helpful .no one ever asked us if we were ok, So i would not go back there . There is an old elegancy about it , but it is fading fast . The breasfast room which one can see was once so beautiful has been ruined by some terrible mordern decoration . Take it back to the original , it would be stunning . And employ some friendly staff.
