“Our kayak guide Lyndsey was great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

We did a guided kayak trip in August and the weather was horrible but our guide Lindsey made up for it. She not only kept us entertained the whole trip but also was extremely well informed with local wildlife and landmarks. Her attention to safety matters were over the top also. If you use Millers kayaking services and are taking a guided trip request Lindsey as your guide and you won't be sorry. We couldn't tip this young lady enough for her part in our long awaited Alaskan experience.

“Fantastic fishing trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2011

After my recent cancer battle and previous serious health issues, my wife and I decided to take Alaska off our bucket list. We picked Seward as one of our destinations with it's scenery, salt water fishing and wildlife. We picked Miller's landing for our fishing charter with it's smaller boat, not being ones to ride on a party barge. Andrew, the captain, did a fantastic job putting us on the fish and was as excited as we were when we saw Dall porposes, Eagles, humpback whales breaching and sea lions. We caught our limit of rockfish and had some halibut and cod in the cooler as well. The weather was not ideal, but Andrew kept out of the wind by picking the spots that were protected by the islands. I had some minor health issues while on board and Andrew did his absolute best to take care of my needs while others were pulling up fish and needing his assistance as well. The boat was well outfitted with top shelf electronics to help keep us safe and on the fish.
We had to cancel our kayaking trip twice from the weather, but Miller's kept us informed if they would have been able to make the trip happen.
This is not a 5 star resort. It is a family operated business in the wilds of Alaska. We had great communications with them coordinating our trips before arriving in Seward. Their service exceeded all of our expectations. I can't wait to go fishing with them again.

“not that good”

I didn't find the address of the cabin I booked either on website or on the confirmation letter, so I spent about over 30 mins to find it. Finally we found it but there's no administrative staff, fortunately the cabin was not locked and it couldn't be locked from outside, so everyday we have to move all our stuff back to the car again.
The worst are the public washroom and the laundry. It's so expensive and the dryer always didn't work.

Room Tip: We booked overflow cabin and it's not easy to find it. But the cabin itself is cute .

Hello, we have our address on every page of our website at the bottom. The website is over 150 pages long. We are sorry you didn't see it there....?
The cabin you rented is not a Miller's Landing Cabin. It is a cabin that we reserve for one of our neighbors (the Beach House) and is owned by Claire Musgrove. She leaves the cabin unlocked for "anytime check ins" and there should have been a lock inside the cabin so you could lock your belongings in it. However we will tell her that this was a concern so that she can make sure there's always a lock there for her guests and thank you for bringing this to our attention. :)

“Really nice for RV stays.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2011 via mobile

Stayed for three days. Friendly people, nice service, beautiful scenery. Yes, the showers are expensive and the bathroom stall doors didn't lock either. But it had average cleansliness, and I didn't expect much else. There were very nice people and scenery.

“Great fishing charter, many options to fit our schedule.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2011

This was one of the few fishing charters that had several options to choose from, depending on how much time you had to go out. We had only a free morning, and my husband wanted to get out and fish, so we booked him for a 6 am to 10 am charter for Silver Salmon and Rockfish. He had a great time-- the captain & crew were helpful & made sure everybody caught fish & they were great with the kids and Grandmas on the charter. His only regret was that he didn't have time to take a longer charter to fish for Halibut too. Another tip: ask about shipping your fish home via the airport vs. Fed Ex shipping from the port processers (cost as much as the charter to ship!).

Room Tip: If you have the time, book a longer charter and get some Halibut! Ship your fish home via the airpor...
