After my recent cancer battle and previous serious health issues, my wife and I decided to take Alaska off our bucket list. We picked Seward as one of our destinations with it's scenery, salt water fishing and wildlife. We picked Miller's landing for our fishing charter with it's smaller boat, not being ones to ride on a party barge. Andrew, the captain, did a fantastic job putting us on the fish and was as excited as we were when we saw Dall porposes, Eagles, humpback whales breaching and sea lions. We caught our limit of rockfish and had some halibut and cod in the cooler as well. The weather was not ideal, but Andrew kept out of the wind by picking the spots that were protected by the islands. I had some minor health issues while on board and Andrew did his absolute best to take care of my needs while others were pulling up fish and needing his assistance as well. The boat was well outfitted with top shelf electronics to help keep us safe and on the fish.
We had to cancel our kayaking trip twice from the weather, but Miller's kept us informed if they would have been able to make the trip happen.
This is not a 5 star resort. It is a family operated business in the wilds of Alaska. We had great communications with them coordinating our trips before arriving in Seward. Their service exceeded all of our expectations. I can't wait to go fishing with them again.
