This guy knows where the fish are. His boat is first class. There is a big difference in the number and the size of the fish you catch on this boat compared to almost all the other boats in the harbor.

I've fished several times with Crackerjack over the years and have to rate these as my best experiences with any fishing charters anywhere. These trips have included both day trips, as well as the overnight experditions. Crackerjack has always gotten us onto hot bites with exceptional fish, even if the weather and seas weren't cooperative.

Capt Andy and Capt Nik are the consummate professionals, and know where the fish are and how to get them in the boat. The mates are well trained, enthusiastic, and highly skilled in helping their clients catch fish.

If you can only take one fishing charter while in Alaska, this is the one.

I have fished Alaska for many years including Homer and Valdez on numerous occasions and I can honestly say fishing out of Seward with Capt Andy Mezirow of Crackerjack Charters were the best trips I have ever had.

The boat was always exceptionally clean (as well as the crew) and we fished with some of the best equipment tackle, rods, and reels available. The crew seemed to anticipate what was needed and when, so we maximized out time fishing and not struggling to get a line in the water. The scenery (running through Kenai Fjords National Park) was spectacular- better than Homer or Valdez hands down.

I don’t believe there is any captain operating in Alaskan waters more experienced than Capt. Andy. In talking with him, Andy has spent most of his adult life on the water and is a professor at the local technical school instructing students who want to become captains themselves.

And last but least did we catch fish... my best day was a trophy day for me with 2 halibut over 100 pounds each- need I say more. Although I don’t expect to walk away with that kind of fishing every time I go out with Capt Andy, I know my chances are better with him than anyone else and I have never been disappointed.

My only advice is this- if this is a once on a life time trip for you- book more than one day in case of bad weather…you won’t regret it.
