Boat and gear and captain and crew were TOP NOTCH!!

Great guys who you can tell really want you to have an awesome experience and catch nice fish...can't ask for much more!

Conditions were stellar and we powered out to the Hawg Hunting grounds around Montague Island....early excitement was a 200+ pound skate that if it had been a butt would have been AMAZING!

A few LingZillas were caught and released and each black brought up was bigger than any I have ever caught down here in California!!

Then Miguel lands a 50+ pound flatty and takes an early lead in the MBF side pot we had going.

Then Team Russell kicks it into gear and my 72 year old slays a 80+ pounder!!

WTG DAD!!!!

I get some fat rockies but no butts at this spot...

We move over to a new spot when the tide starts to change...I call this spot the ThunderChicken Ranch Honey Hole!! Every drop led to a hook up of beautiful 20-30 pound fish!!!

I kept my first one, let a few go, landed a few on light jigging tackle (man the fight is killer on the lighter gear!!) and finally kept a 25 pounder for my second and final fish!

Every body got their limit of two butts, Dad and Miguel got the two biggest ones and there was a good smattering of fatter 30+ pounders in the mix as well!!

Nik and Andy are both awesome captains! This company can put you on the fish! I have been to Seward several times with the family, and am exceptionally pleased having fished with Crackerjack Sportfishing! The boats are great, the crew is great--and the fishing is awesome! Andy and Nik, and the rest of the crew, are all very personable, professional and knowledgeable. They run impeccably clean boats (and I have seen some bad ones with other companies), their gear is top of the line. We went out for two days of fishing, one day with Nik and the other with Andy--and both days saw some incredible fishing--Halibut and Salmon--non stop action! We can't wait to get back to Seward--we will be seeing these guys again!

Just finished a two week trip to Alaska. Our second time up here and we fished with Captain Andy and Captain Jeff this time. The weather was perfect and the fishing was very good. We didn't catch the big one this time ( my son caught an 80 pounder two years ago) but we did catch 2 nice halibut from 20 -30 pounds a three silver salmon for each of us. That gave is exactly one very full box of filleted fish to bring home. The perfect amount. We also saw the most incredible whale show. Captain Andy told us they were "bubble net feeding". We say about a dozen whales coming straight out of the water. Never seen anything like it.
The Crew Andy, Jeff and " Big Tuna" were a blast. They seem to be enjoying the day as much as the 12 people on the boat. They even stayed out a little extra time so my daughter could catch her fish. I would give them high marks all the way around!

If you are ready to experience real fishing with real professional guides than this is the charter for you. Andy and Terry are top notch captains, with a great boat and top notch equipment. They know all the spots to go. We were constantly catching fish. Between the three of us we caught 1300 lbs in 3 days. Then when we were ready to come home the cleaning, packaging and shipping is arranged by them. You couldn't ask for better service. We caught our limit of silver salmon in half an hour and were throwing fish back. Other boats around us we barely catching anything. It was amazing. The halibut fishing was incredible. We caught all sizes from 40 to 140 pound fish. These guys know their stuff and guide you without taking over. They can arrange for your accomodations as well. We stayed in a cabin on an island. This allowed us to spend more time actually fishing rather than traveling back and forth from Seward. The food was great and cabin was nice. Being a fisherman from florida with lots of experience, I was expecting some really good fishing. These guys surpassed my expectations. I recommed these guys highly but be prepared to catch fish, lots and lots of fish.
