We booked this location because we were going on the small boat tour with the Barkleys and thought it would be good to do both with the same people. Kathleen was
a wonderful hostess, sending someone to pick up and deliver us and our luggage to the railway depot. She also took my husband to get drinks, and offered to take us to other places if we needed it. It is a fairly easy walk to the small boat harbor and you can catch a free shuttle from various locations there and at other places to go as far as the Sea Life center. She also let us store our luggage there after check-out time, so we could see more of Seward.
The queen bed room is clean and roomy with a nice view of the mountains. It is in a residential area, but there are few houses, so it feels fairly private. There is a small refrigerator, a coffee maker and a microwave and she provides a bowl with some candies, coffee, various tea bags, as well as kitchen supplies for use in the microwave and for eating light meals.
Since it is listed under bed and breakfast, it would be nice if a few breakfast items were provided, like packaged muffins, oatmeal, cereals, etc., but we knew up front that these were not provided, so it was not a big deal. The staircase to the second floor rooms is inside and covered, making it easy to access your room at any time of day or night.
Overall, we were very pleased with the room and would stay here again and recommend it to others.
