“Absolutely perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2007

My large group descended on our hosts en masse and was treated to one of the most fun, relaxing and active vacations I have ever had. Our hosts were exceedingly generous, the food impeccable, the advice, local knowledge and connections truly made for a unique and unforgettable experience. We were felt like family. The Treehouse is a beautiful oasis in a beautiful place. I think about returning every year.

“Loved it all”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2007

This is one of the best, if not the best, B&Bs I have stayed at. The treehouse and surrounding property are beautiful, quiet and relaxing - I especially enjoyed the view from the gorgeous kitchen and the large porch. The breakfast was fantastic every morning - and served on beautiful local pottery. My group went on great day adventures easy to reach from the B&B - the hosts, Al and Sheila, are great resources as well. It was one of my best vacations!

“Absolutely fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2007

Perfect place to stay in a lovely small Alaskan town. I've now stayed there three times with my husband and I'll certainly stay again. The house is beautiful, the hot tub better! Breakfast was delicious, the sourdough waffles are to die for with all kinds of homemade and handpicked Alaskan spread and sauces to top them. The hosts are very friendly with lots of advice on things to do in the area. Perfect spot for a honeymoon, family vacation or just a quiet getaway. I can't wait to go back (we have reservations in May!)

“Not too bad...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2007

Beautiful house and property. Breakfast was 'normal' - not something of substance. Although - to be honest, we like more to our breakfast than fruits. Maybe they were vegetarians, but there was no bacon, sausage or any kind of meat, just eggs of differnt varieties...good thing they had espresso places to go to, and we had our own refrigerator.
They were friendly, but there was no way we could stay until noon - check out time was 10...check in time 4...I guess 6 hours was needed when there was only us to clean up after.
I felt veryuncomfortable drinking on their back porch the 1st night and kept to the room after that, except for breakfast.
Again; nice people...just not what we've had in other B&B's. I guess we're more socializors and maybe we just didnt click(?)

“Great Place”

We found out about the Alaska Treehouse on TripAdvisor and are really glad we stayed there. Even though the owners were out of town, we were warmly welcomed by their housesitter, who made great breakfasts for us every morning. The place has a nice forest lodge feeling to it, with big windows and large trees surrounding the place. There was even a moose and her calf resident in the neighborhood. The living room is a great place to relax with a book or magazine on the leather couches, especially if it’s raining outside… which it usually will in Seward. But probably the nicest aspect of the place is the incredible Jacuzzi on the back deck, which has great views of the forested mountainside and has some of the most powerful massage jets we’ve ever experienced. At less than $100, the price was very good, especially in a state where lodging rates are high. The only thing is that you will probably need a car to stay here, as it is about 5-6 miles outside of town. We highly recommend this place to anyone going to Seward.
