Stayed 2 nights last week at the Lost Lake Trailhead Lodge. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and spaciousness. Everything was modern and in good shape. It's about 3 miles outside of the main harbor in Seward, but it had a real Alaska feel to it rather than the touristy feel. The trailhead to Lost Lake Trailhead is about 1/3 of a mile from the lodge. We hiked about 2 miles in and back (due to time shortage). It is a very beautiful trail. Scott helped us arrange a half day fishing charter and we had a blast. I can't say enough about the lodge.
