We stayed at this hotel for the first time. The location is good, because every other hotel on island Korčula is located at or near a marina, so there are boats parked close to the "swimming area". The hotel is old. It was built in 1986, and it was partly renewed. The rooms are pretty small in comparison to newer hotels. The food is not that bad, when it's fresh and properly cooked, which isn't always the case. This doesn't happen all the time or to all the dishes, but sometimes it does. And sometimes some of the dishes run out, which is normal when a hotel is fully booked. But the problem is the time it takes the staff to replace that dish or dishes. It takes them forever (there are people in line waiting), and when they finally bring them out, they're almost cold. That means it was cooked for quite some time. So why not bring it out before? I mean it's not like they didn't have the time, because they were walking around. Again, this doesn't happen every day, but it happens often. I've been talking to some people, who have visited this hotel before, and according to them this didn't happen the years before. There are a lot of different drinks to choose from, but non alcoholic drinks are ice cold. Not really suitable for young children. Snack time is a bowl of pop corn and some cakes which are left over from lunch. If you want any you must be there at 4 p.m.
One problem , which bothered me, are the local kids, and I don't mean little children, I mean grown up kids (16, 17 years old). They come into the hotel for drinks and snack in the all inclusive bar, they are going to toilets in hotel. There is no control. That's because there are young people working at the bar, probably just through holiday season, which are friends with those local kids, and of course they let them do it.
There are two tennis courts and sandy voleyball court. There is no control there either, because people from nearby come to play tennis for free. So if you plan on playing, good luck trying to get on court.
Parking is free, but not protected. Someone has damaged the lock for the gas on our car. I guess they were trying to steal the gas (they didn't succeed, thank God), or something, but we didn't see it until we went to a gas station to get some gas. We were already on our way home in Split. Luckily the lock wasn't damaged enough, so that we were able to unlock it and tank the car.
This hotel could be a very good hotel, with its location, and if they renewed it (the entire hotel), even better. But they would need a new ownership and a new management, bad.
