The bad first .Having read the reports that the annex was poor at the Neptune we were worried.We had a great welcome and a cold drink as it was still 28 dec at 11 pm. When we got to the room in one of the annex it was ok but very hot as there is no air conditioning in the annex rooms.
Now the good. Any body who says that the food is not very good must have been staying in a different place to us as it was fantastic. Something different every night. They catered for all tastes.The staff around the pool bar were brilliant. The Hotel is in a wonderful position with the Adriatic sea at the bottom of your garden,The Hotel did have a lot of Germans staying but this did not bother me or my partner. The people of Croatia we found very nice and helpful.This could be because I wore my West Ham shirt most days. All in all a fantastic holiday and would recommend Croatia to anybody

1.no air-con in the rooms which cause problems with sleeping when temp.outside is 30-35C.
2.noises coming from nearby disco club untill 2 am,once windows are shot it is fine ,but there is no air con in the room,so it's hard to breath.
3.poor entertainment group,mostly suitable for seniors ,band is playing the same folk songs every night, don't bother to go there, if you are 20-30 years old.
4.food is just ok, nothing extraordinary ,taste is bit bland, very repetitiv
5.staff speak hardly english, mostly german
6.good things are : clean rooms,close to the beach, nice location to make excursions

Superb hotel for your family or retaired people.

I'm easily pleased and despite taking into account the hotel is only 3 stars I was still disappointed when we saw our room. The annex accomodation is 2 star at most with grundy carpets, glass panel doors and no double beds (if you put 2 beds together you will fall in the middle)
Getting negatives out of the way also the entertainment is terrible, no English music, we didn't dance all holiday just a rubbish 2 man band playing music we'd never heard every night. Nightlife in Tucepi is pretty much none existant.

However, the hotel is great value for money, you can help yourself to alcohol drinks, the food is lush and the pool fab. Also nice scenery with the mountain behind, a sun trap.

Tucepi itself has no culture and not a true reflection of Croatia, it's a nice holiday resort just make sure you do the trip to Krka waterfalls. Here you will visit Sibenik first which is absolutely charming and so much like Italy.

I really liked Croatia, the weather was fab - high 20s in June. The people are nice, it is clean you can drink the water and I didn't get covered in bites like when I went to Greece.

The sea water is the clearest I've seen, it's a shame the beaches are pebble but I was fine on my lilo, a lot of people wore crocs in the sea. It is cheap too, I would recommend!

We had a great welcome when we arrived - and although we had booked a garden view room, we were put into a sea view room - and it was lovely. I have read that the rooms are small, but frankly we didn't feel that at all.

The food was good - my partner and I had absolutely no trouble finding something we really enjoyed at every meal. The drink, unfortunately, was not up to the level of the food, but it was certainly acceptable if not exceptional - and there were no queues at the bars as everything, including the spirits, was self-service.

All in all a very enjoyable week away - we would certainly recommend it.
