My husband and I don't mind budget, but dirty is another matter. The view of the bay across Alii Drive was lovely and the Inn was within walking distance of the Farmer's Market and great shops and resturants, plus the tropical gardens and pool on the grounds were really pretty. They should get their gardeners to do unit maintenance and cleaning; with their commitment to excellence it would be a great improvement.
In our unit, #349,the kitchen was dark, the sink didn't drain well, the kitchen doors wouldn't stay closed, the countertop particle-board underlay was disintegrating and filthy, but impossible to clean; a real public health hazard. The bathroom shower was rusty, and the living room rug was really dirty - filthy actually. And it's not as though these problems are unknown: we actually had a salesgirl down the street ask us why we were staying in "that dirty place!"
We still have 2 nights next week we've paid for, and we're planning to insist on seeing the unit before agreeing to take it. Wish us luck! BTW, we booked this on Expedia for $99/night, and outside they advertise one night for $69 and 2 for $59: it was NOT worth $99/night!
