I just returned from a week in fabulous Vrsar. I traveled with my two teenage girls and stayed at apartments Riva. The best I can say is - great location - great view. But that is all you get for your money. I payed 923 euro for 7 nights and this is my story.
Upon arriving we could not find the reception (later in the week I had to help other confused newly arrived guests). No signs - nothing. After walking around like fools we decided to ask at a nearby hotel, Pineta, which was located 100 meters above on the hill. And yes, that was where we were to check in. When I booked the "hotel" it was advertised as having outdoor and indoor pool and lots of facilities. Not true! We were given pool passes to use at hotel Belvedere´s outdoor pool. Belvedere was located about three hundred meters from the appartments. If we wanted to use facilities, such as fitness, at hotel Pineta we had to pay for them. We got NO house keeping/cleaning all week even though I asked and they said I would get housekeeping once during the week. But all they did was to throw in a pile of towels upon request, no refill of toilet paper or emptying of trash. I had to call three times in order for them to provide us with toilet paper. The appartment was dimensioned for four people but the balcony was really small with only two plastic chairs at the small table. We pulled out an extra kitchen chair, but we barely fit three people out there. We did not get a parking space even though we asked for it - parking cards were all given out - according to the reception girl. We had to park on a big parking lot 200 meters from Riva. It was free but dark and unsupervised. I can NOT recommend these apartments unless you get by really cheap.
