We stayed in one of the self catering apartments for 2/3 people and as it was just 2 of us it was perfect. Nothing fancy - just clean, comfortable and a good place to rest your head. We did have satelite TV with a good choice of Croatian, German and English Channels. The kitchens aren't really geared up for self catering - we ate out every night, but it was nice to have the fridge and be able to make breakfast. There's a little supermarket at the entrance to the complex where you can stock up. The resort was surprisingly large with plenty of resturants, bars etc to choose from but its very much a family place so there's not a lot going on late at night. The Jezero resturant serves great seafood and is the perfect place to watch the sunset. There's a little train that you can take into the town for 10 kona each way or its a nice 2km walk along the seafront. There are no sandy beaches here which took a bit of getting used to but there are plenty of sun loungers which you can hire for 15 kona per day. Most of the clientele were German and English and German are widely spoken by the locals. Don't go with expectations of luxury - you'll be disappointed, but if you're looking for a great value summer getaway it's perfect. I'd certainly go back!
