I booked the Landhaus so that I could surprise my wife and son who were staying nearby and skiing. I wanted somewhere near to the village, but not right in the middle and the Strasser was just perfect. It sits on the hillside about 10 minutes walk out of the town of Soll (which is lovely).

The rooms are all modern and in a pine style. To myself, I had a room for 4 with kitchen (unused). The ablution facilities are spotless and lovely to use.

Breakfasts were plentiful with varied provision, though don't go expecting traditional English cooked - you're in Austria! Besides, the homemade bread with Brie cheese and butter was lovely.

There aren't that many staff there, but you don't need them in any case. It makes the place very peaceful. There are nice wellness facilities if you want them.

The walks to the side and rear of the Strasser are out of this world and there's something for everyone. The Moorsee lake was worth the 30 minutes trip, but you can go much further. As you'd expect, there are plenty of places for Coffee and Strudel all around.

People in the village are welcoming and helpful in the extreme. There's a fabulous Italian restaurant in the village.

I stayed here for 3 days just before Christamas and was pleasently suprised with the standard of this ludicrously cheap hotel. (double room £45)

I stayed in a large apartmentlike room with a shared kitchen outside on the top floor. Lovely balcony with views over the village. The rooms have a shower and large round beds. (take your own pillow, Austrian pillows are very soft). There is also a tv and broadband connection. I wish I could upload my pictures as it was stunning with the amount of snow over Christmas but I manage to freeze my digital camera one cold night.

All in all a cracking little place just 5 mins out of town (lovely walk to and from) and my only concern was the pricing may attract youngsters thus noisey teenagers hanging around, but this was not the case when I stayed. There is a bar area for a quiet drink in the evening. I never tried the breakfast as I had a brand new fully equipped kitchen next to the room, so i bought a few bits from the spar in town.

The staff do not speak very good English so brush up on your Zamber beforehand or expect lots of hand waving.

I would definately stay again and I can not recommend this place highly enough.

Booked the Landhaus Strasser for a few days. We had five rooms situated around a kitchen. The rooms were all slightly different, all were a good size,immaculate and well kitted out. Situated a short way from centre of town, but still only less than a ten minute walk. The ski bus stop is a two minute walk away, however a taxi to the gondola was only 5 euros and much more convient.There was a wellness centre in the basement. We all made use of the sauna and steam room. Robes and towels for the wellness suite were provided. Check out is meant to be at 12, whoever we had the room till 6.30pm as there were no new guests coming. This made our last day much easier. Overall I'd highly recommend the accomodation. The price was also excellent. Would definately stay again.
