We booked this hotel on the strength of great trip advisor reviews. We spent a week here, and I'm afraid to say the experience was slightly disappointing. Not because of the service, that was exceptional especially their treatment of my son (particularly in the restaurant), but outside of well maintained front of house facilities, the bedrooms were straight out of the eighties or even seventies and very dated. Beds were uncomfortable, and the temporary sofa bed for my son had to use had no springs to offer him further comfort, he resorted to sharing our Austrian twin one night due to this. Dark wood decor, a worn out excuse for a carpet and a radio built into the head board, as well as excessive use of strip lighting, completed this 'life on mars' experience.
This is a real shame as the people were phenomenal, nothing was a problem for them, they were the difference between a good and a poor week spent in the resort in very average sleeping accommodation.
Food wise, not bad, better than average for the class of hotel. Very flexible with kids meals. Word of advice get to breakfast early if you want your choice from the wide ranging buffet.
Btw, I don't have high expectations of hotels either, I routinely stay in holiday inns and expresses as well as the odd 3 star establishment in the uk, the hotel park is no better in many respects....hopefully they hold onto their very loyal and hardworking staff, they need them to make this an appealing choice for their customers.
