We stayed at this small and cozy hotel during the Hanhenkammrennen in Kitzbühel. To stay in this affordable and comfortable hotel and use the train to go to Kitzbühel was a very good choice. The room was big and very nice and the common rooms were utterly elegant. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast lady gave us very good service. And Mr. Gruber himself was supervising everything in the best manner. Highly recommended!

Excellent hotel with tasteful decoration , perfect location , high standard of service . The building itself is beautiful . The Owner is incredibly friendly , helpful and make you feel very comfortable. He is the perfect host ,able to speak English , with the wealth of knowledge on the local area , always ready to offer you advice on what to do.
This hotel has an amazing atmosphere. Our room was spotlessly clean. Free internet. Plentiful breakfast.
It was also very good value for money.
I would highly recommend it for a stay. Don't book any other place !

My husband and I stayed at the Garni Gruber for a week in September. Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely en suite bathroom and seating area, and was great value for money. Breakfast was more than adequate - cereal, yoghurt, eggs, cold meats and cheeses, preserves - everything you could need. Franz and Erika were very helpful - Franz especially was a great help when it came to planning our cycling trips, very knowledgeable about the local area. St Johann itself was a pleasant 5 minute walk along the river (there was a large supermarket about 1 minute walk away) with plenty of shops and restaurants and a great bus and train service. Bicycle hire was very reasonable (shop beside the main bridge over the river) and there were plenty of cycle trails of all levels of difficulty to choose from. All in all a great location for walking, cycling and visiting other towns in the area - especially if you're using public transport.

This hotel is located a lovely short 5 minute walk (along the river)from the centre of St.Johann. Our room was clean spacious and well decorated with a balcony with river views. All rooms had outside areas.Breakfast was plentiful.The owner , Mr Gruber spoke perfect English and was very helpful. It was very good value too.Entrance to the local swimming pool - indoor and outdoor - is free and a short walk away! Also closeby many restaurants. I thoroughly reccommend this hotel!!
