We stayed here a week - my husband, my 19-year-old daughter, and myself - in the junior suite. She had the pull-out sofa in one room, we had twin beds pushed together in the other, with the bathroom in between. The room is sleek Scandanavian in decor, and the cleaning staff kept it spotless! The beds were incredibly comfortable, even the sofa bed, and the radiant floor heating kept the room warm, considering all the windows.
The conscientious service began when we arrived during a storm, and the hotel kindly sent a driver to pick us up at the train station, no charge. We tipped the driver, though, as we greatly appreciated not having to find our way in the dark and the snow.
The breakfast was wonderful - a buffet with freshly scrambled eggs (they also made fried or boilled eggs to order) bacon, sausages, fruit, cereals, cured meats, cheeses and fresh breads and rolls. Some mornings there was sliced salmon and champagne. Coffee or tea was also offered.
The desk staff are a treasure. They answered questions, arranged taxis and massages, gave dinner recommendations, and generally made our visit most enjoyable.
St. Anton's itself is quaint and tiny - people are friendly, and it's a beautiful place. The ski lifts and rental shops are just steps away from the hotel, so you have to lug your gear as little as possible. The mountains themselves are stunning - and we had great snow.
We loved our trip to St. Anton's, and look forward to returning in the future!
