Very high priced compared to similar hotels. With this comes expectations. A very small room with a mini-tv for two people for 280 euros a night including a poor dinner. When the bed broke the second night at 11 pm we had a hard time finding any personell. When they finally arrived
they just shrugged their shoulders saying " what can we do in the middle of the night?" and left us in the room. We were of course very upset and then they threatened to call the police. After a terrible night with backpain because of the hole in the bed we left the hotel and found another four star hotel on the other side of the street. Much better, friendlier and also cheaper. We stayed for a week with friends. The owner and staff are all friendly and helpful. The rooms are a decent size and kept clean. Meals combine both quality and quantity. But there is one downside - it reeks of cigarette smoke. The reception area, bar and restaurant form one open plan area and the smoke from the bar permeates the whole hotel. The lift, stairs and even rooms all carry the smell of smoke. If you are smoker, all well and good. If not, it significantly detracts from an otherwise enjoyable experience.

no room to sit in the evenings after a meal as the owners took up the two sofas, hotel smelt of smoke throughout the week, workers and owner sat smoking as you walked in not a good image.
Food was ok but wine and bar prices over inflated!!

For the cost of this holiday book early and stay at the Sonne or post more for you money and a true four star hotel. Lets hope Inghams down grade there rating for 08/09!!
