We returned again to Katharina and her wonderful house - our third revisit.
Katharina is the most marvellous host - she just can't do enough for you. I celebrated my birthday during the week and was greeted with flowers, champagne, chocolate cake as well as wonderful singing ! This time we stayed in one of the apartments at the house and was not disappointed. The facilities were fabulous - very clean and amazingly comfortable. The view did not disappoint either with comfortable chairs on the two balconies. Breakfast was plentiful and set us up for a great days skiing on the slopes.
One of the main things that struck us this week was the quality of the guests in Katharina's house - everyone was just lovely - friendly, chatty and always with a smile. I would recomend the Bergwald to anyone - it is better than all the expensive hotels in the village and Katharina is certainly a better host. She gives that personal touch that is rare to find in today's world.

A place where we were three years in a row and we will not stop! In the first year we were like newlyweds and the last time with a group of friends. It seems incredible but we felt great in both situations. Katharina (the owner) is the greatest host. All things are Tyrolean up to the smallest detail. Clean is impeccable and the breakfast is enough to give you the energy needed a full day skiing. Important! when you get there ask for a ride horses. Our advice to everyone: you must get at least once. Then you'll love Bergwald....

A very beautiful location provides a breathtaking view, which can be admired from a nice and very clean room.
The owner, Mrs. Katharina Moser, is an exceptional host, very concerned with the well being of her guests, very friendly and helpful, has made our holiday a very pleasant one.
My wife and I have enjoyed very much the stay at Bergwald, and will surely return on our future holidays.

We stayed in this pension for two nights this June. I reserved it because of the high score and because of all the comments about the hostess. Now I can sign under all those positive comments about the place and the person who takes care of it all, Katharina. I really want to point out her sincere affability and hospitality. The house is situated after the Alpbach village, and it takes 10-15 minutes from the highway to get here. It's very tranquil and quiet, with a beautiful view all around (anywhere you look, you can take a photo). We received the apartments instead of just a room, and it was huge. The house and the room are very clean. The breakfast satisfied us all – be it local cheese and ham, yogurt for my mother, corn flex for myself or eggs for my parents. Katharina remembered what we liked, so the second day we didn't even need to ask. The water in the area is drinkable and tasty. If we didn't have our entire trip planned and reserved, we would love to stay here for the whole two weeks we had. We hope to come back here in future. I could definitely advise the apartments to a big family with kids or to a company of young couples who come to the area to ski or hike, since there are two bedrooms and also a bed in the living room.
