The Jasmin is located on slight hill about half mile from the lake. We had 2 rooms for 2 weeks ,both had good sized balcony The rooms are fair size with shower and most have WC both were clean and tidy on arrival. The pension itself is in need of a bit of “tlc”, the room furniture is old , while we were there one guest had put her bed back together in the middle of the night. Also paint in our room was flaking off the walls, strangely out of place posters (a desert island and the African planes) had been taped about the place in an attempt to brighten it up. Of the 4 patio chairs provided on our balconies only 1 was undamaged. During our stay the rooms were not cleaned and we had to ask to borrow a vacuum cleaner, similarly we found the linen cupboard and changed our own beds after a week, the towels were however changed regularly. The web advertises a garden, but there are just two old patio chairs near the front door, if you actually venture off the path on to the garden you get barked at by the resident couple that live on the ground floor.
The jasmine has no bar but beer and wine is served during meals. The breakfasts are good the usual Austrian ,bread rolls , preserves, cheese , cold meats ,toast ,fruit , cereal, tea , coffee, etc….
There is a major problem with this pension are the evening meals, they vary from ok to very poor. The food is prepared in another hotel in town and ferried in by car every evening and kept warm, not hot warm. Though there is a choice and you have to serve yourself you can tell that what you are eating has been prepared over an hour earlier .One particular evening my daughter found the middle of her chicken portion was uncooked as were 3 or f4 others in the room .On a couple of occasions it was unpalatable and we had eat out. This really is just a B&B.
With a bit of time and investment , this could be a great little hotel, I am surprised by Crystal using this as it stands ,definitely not 2 star.
