Just back from a weeks skiing at the Hotel St Georg.
The food was outstanding, breakfast was buffet, with a huge range of meats, cheeses, fruits, cereals, teas and bread or 'cooked to order' eggs & omelettes to go with the bacon and sausages.
Apres-ski food was available from 3-5pm and varied each day goulash soup, frankfurters, cakes and meats.
Evening meals, 5 or 6 courses (incl. a salad course) the variety, quality and consistency was first class, soups, consumes, fish courses, vegetarian, meats, superb.
The hotel public rooms and our bedroom were very clean and well presented.
Facilities (pool, sauna, steam room etc.) very good.
What makes the hotel are the staff. Pleasant, smiling and helpful whether it's the room maid or the owners.
Special mention must be made of Karl, Elleni, Drestina and Lucas with whom we hade most contact (sorry if the name spelling is wrong).
That the skiing conditions were fantastic was a bonus.
I would highly recommend this hotel.
