Checked out of this hotel this morning (5 March 2011). The staff, accommodation and facilities have been fantastic. The food in the restaurant, particularly the farmers buffet, was consistently exceptional. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so perfect.

We agree with Frank, we had a steak served which was inedible, the waiter refused to do anything about it and when we asked for the manager we were told " he is too busy to come to you, if you want to see him you will have to go to his office"! Inedible steak, invisible manager, not one Euro off the bill. Nice surroundings but appallingly bad attitude. Not to be recommended except to someone you do not like.

Just had a meal in the restaurant with some friends.
Attempted to discuss the quality of the meat/steak served as main course only to be met with such indifference and arrogance as to be shocked. Absolutely no interest in my opinion. All they were concerned about was that you paid the bill! Give the place a miss is my advice - there are much nicer places in the reosrt.

The hotel is in an excellent location, only 5 minutes walk from the towns 2 cable cars and close to the few shops and bars. (In September not much in Saalbach is open!)
Our room was on the 3rd floor which when the cranes have gone from the site down the hill would have a nice view. The room was nicely decorated with plenty of room and very clean, a good sized bath room (with bath and shower), comfortable bed and an area to sit in.

The staff were very friendly and helpful always a smile at reception. I am diabetic and they made a special effort to give me a sugar free diet. The food was very good and the all inclusive deal saved a lot of money.
The waiters and waitresses always served with a smile and made the stay most enjoyable.
The facilities at the hotel are excellent, there is a spa pool in the main hotel and a swimming pool in the annexe, a sauna and a steam room and massage is available.
There is also free bike hire.
One other thing that made the stay very good was the Saalbach and Hinterglem Joker Card which gave free use of the 4 local cable cars and discounts on local transport and at many of the local attractions.
All in this holiday was excellent value and very enjoyable.
